Athletes at the 2019 Asian Games will compete in 36 sports: 28 Olympic sports and 8 non-Olympic sports.

The eight non-Olympic sports are:

- ten-pin bowling
- cricket
- kabaddi
- karate
- sepak takraw
- squash
- wushu
